I was born and raised in Hawaii, and now live with my husband, three children, and two guinea pigs in Maryland. I love to play guitar, sail, and read, and engage in various crafts when I can make the time. I’m a former teacher of English and history, but stayed home after having twins. A few months after that, I realized I needed to do something other than change diapers and entertain infant twins with all the knowledge and thinking skills garnered after attending college a few times. My family had a publishing house, and several of my relatives were published authors, so I started to study writing. I took online workshops for a couple years, discovered NaNoWriMo (and became the first Municipal Liaison for Maryland in 2004), attended the Viable Paradise Writer’s Workshop, and finally started sending out my work.
